In expressing the language, students needs stimulate to speak up and a model of teaching which used by teacher of English. Especially, in the teaching learning English. It means that process of TGT (Teams Games Tournament) model is an important thing in the teaching of speaking English.
The focus of research is how the process of TGT (Teams Games Tournament) model is in the teaching speaking at VIII class of MTs Al-Falah Dempo-Barat Pasean Pamekasan. So, this research conducted to describe the process of TGT (Teams Games Tournament) model in the teaching speaking English.
Based on the phenomena the researcher interested to deeply the process of TGT (Teams Games Tournament) model on student’s speaking and the limitation of this study was on the teaching speaking English by using TGT (Teams Games Tournament) while the scope was conducted in VIII class of MTs Al-Falah Dempo-Barat Pasean Pamekasan. This study describe through of qualitative approach with descriptive research.
In collecting the data the researcher used some techniques are observation, interview and documentation. The interview was done the English teacher and students. In addition, the researcher did observation from 22th march 2012 until 14th April 2012 through of inside the class, while the researcher collected the data documentation as taking a note of teacher, the final tournament and lesson plan. Then after the researcher collecting data the researcher analysis base on the Miles and Hubernam’s model they are: data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing verification.
The finding of research that happened in VIII class of MTs Al-Falah is astonishing because, the class becomes active and students have motivated. At the end of study was the conclusion and suggestion. The conclusion gives the result that process of TGT (Teams Games Tournament) model in teaching speaking was modified by teacher in steps team. Where, the teacher stimulated students before go to the tournament table and this model can called success. Because, it helpful English teacher and students. It can help the teacher in the teaching and learning process to create a comfortable atmosphere and it made the students are easier to express their idea and interested to pay attention the material. It showed their motivation on the creativity to get the score. In addition, the suggestion focused on English teacher and students of MTs Al-Falah Dempo-Barat Pasean Pamekasan.
