Speaking is an interactive process of constructing meaning that involves producing and receiving and processing information. To master speaking, the teacher has to transfer his/her knowledge to their students as well as possible in teaching and learning activities. Automatically, in process of transferring knowledge, the teacher needs technique to apply it, in order to make the students is fluent in learning speaking. The teacher has to choose technique that the most suitable one for the students when taught his students. One of them is “nonverbal communication technique”. In this case, the teacher acts in front of the class without speaking a word then the students do and repeat my using his/her own word and or speak up.
There are three focuses of research in this study; how does teacher implement, the advantages, and the disadvantages of the use of nonverbal communication technique on students speaking mastery at the eleventh grade of MA addurriyah Bangkes kadur pamekasan. This study is to describe how teacher implement, to know the advantages, and disadvantages of the use of nonverbal communication technique on students speaking mastery at the eleventh grade of MA addurriyah Bangkes kadur pamekasan.
In this study, the approach uses qualitative approach, and uses the descriptive design. Therefore, instruments, the researcher can divide the procedure of data collection with the steps below: Observation, interview, and documentation.
The result showed Teacher implemented that technique; the teacher explained the subjects by that technique; he acts related with the subject in front of the class; Such as; Gestures and body. And then the students guess and speak up verbally. And its advantages; “Students are able to be active and the class is more vivid. They are able to understand, enjoy and hear the lesson easily. They are able to communicate something which you don't want others to hear or listen. For teacher, it is easy for teacher if his student is far from him.” While its disadvantages; “Students are not able to make long conversation, it need long time to them to understand the lesson. In other word, it is so difficult to be understood in short time. Teacher has to be patient in teaching and learning process.
Based on the result above, it is suggested for the next researchers, if you want to make a further research, this thesis can be used as the reference to reach your study and to teach English especially in teaching speaking. While, for the English teacher; the teacher has to improve technique on student speaking mastery especially in the use of nonverbal communication technique. It makes classroom is enjoyable and interested So that teacher and students there is interaction and classroom condition is more active and vivid.
